O'Donnell and Tuomey with Group 91 designed Meeting House Square. The design concept was the creation of an outdoor room. The placing a stage in the rear of The Ark and a projection room in the Photographic Archive ensures the space is fully utilised during summer evenings. Since its completion the square has been regularly used for film screenings, theatre, music recitals / concerts and weekly organic food markets.

The Square is accessible through passageways from Sycamore Street, Eustace Street, the raised courtyard to the rere of the Irish Film Centre and through a short curved street beside the Photographic Archives.
