O'Donnell and Tuomey designed the National Photographic Archive. Its relationship with its sister building the Gallery of Photography is emphasised by the exterior projection room, which is part of the buildings façade. During the summer this projection room is utilised with a removable screen set into the Gallery of Photography to turn Meetinghouse Square into an outdoor cinema.
